Terri Moeller, historically known as the drummer who spent several years supporting legendary Seattle band Walkabouts, decided to step out and explore the other half of her brain by blocking out the natural mathematical instincts to construct a beat and try her hand at writing and singing. Enter Paul Austin; co-founding conspirator of Willard Grant Conspiracy, the two met while touring together and soon afterwards Paul uprooted from Boston to Seattle. Finding much in common, including a profound admiration for Talk Talk and the Pernice Brothers, the two have spent the past five years building with musical blocks, having songs appear in spaces previously unoccupied, and crafting their hypnotic and tactile brand of music. With their fifth full-length release, The Transmissionary Six make their debut on Tarnished Records with "Cosmonautical", nine tracks of exploration into the vast, scary, uncharted regions of space - be it creative or literal space.
